We love walking into a home and finding a room that makes us say 'wow!'. The loft conversion here is one of those rooms!
Bow windowed 'Thirties' homes are always appealing in our eyes and this is one that has that extra wow, thanks to some great ideas by the current owners. They bought this home in 2004 and knew they had some improvements to make, they also realised there was great potential to make this a really special place to live.
Lots has been done that you won't see, important updates to the wiring and heating, the backbone of any home and so important for peace of mind.
They've added a downstairs cloakroom, such a useful modern addition to life and something that many struggle to incoroporate comfortably into a home of this age. The conservatory is super too, a room that lets you enjoy the garden and that is another fabulous feature we'll come on to. For us, the highlight is the loft conversion. The impact as you walk in and look around it is fabulous and it is one of the best conversions we've seen in a home like this. It has space, light and a neatly arranged en suite that enhances the space rather than impact upon it. The staircase makes the first floor landing a feature of the home and we find it lovely that the owners have kept the living room and dining room separate.
The nice thing for the next owners is that there is still potential to make changes to suit. We wonder how it would feel with the dining room open to the kitchen? With that conservatory in place already we think it will be a super idea.
