Whenever we look for a new home the search is about more than just ticking boxes, that's easy to do. The hardest and most rewarding thing is to find somewhere that has that extra something, that which makes your heart race a little, puts a smile on your face and it can be found, often when you least expect it.
Dover is a town that is often misunderstood; we have a real soft spot for it because it provides constant surprises. Wander around the town and look up, you'll see some fabulous architecture and of course there's the ever-present image of Dover Castle standing watch. The town has an incredible history and, especially since the High-Speed rail service to St Pancras dramatically reduced travel times to London, it has become a focus for more and more people. It has the port, a fantastic ferry service to France that we should never take for granted, but for those that live close by, often they do. Popping across to France for a long weekend or even just for lunch is as easy as heading to a show in London, how fabulous to have choices like that!
Explore the town further though and you have the Marina, a fabulous promenade along the harbour edge, the exciting Western Docks development will bring new shops and businesses to the town. There are great restaurants for those who love their food and the St James Place development bringing Marks and Spencer, Next and a Cineworld to the town centre. Incredible times for Dover and a wonderful time to find a home such as this.
This is a home that ticks lots of boxes, three bedrooms, all nice sizes, a lovely lounge diner that is over twenty-five feet long, a utility room, in the form of a really useful rear porch, it doubles as somewhere to put muddy dogs and wellies and best of all, the two most important rooms look great. The kitchen sparkles as you walk in, all new with fitted oven and hob and upstairs a smart bathroom suite means pretty much all you need to is move in.
Decor is personal and yes, we all like to make changes, but it's something that lets you make this very much your home and is the easiest of the jobs you might face when looking to move.
The thing that makes our heart race about this home and we think it will grab your attention too, is the fabulous views. From living room to kitchen and upstairs from rear bedroom and bathroom, you have a stunning view over the valley. The garden has a decked area with glass screen that means you get the very best opportunity to enjoy the scenery and, the lower section of garden provides plenty of opportunity for you to create a unique space. Looking along other gardens, everyone has had different ideas on how to use it. This view of Dover makes you appreciate just how lucky and special the town is and whets your appetite to explore some of the very special countryside on your doorstep.
On a practical note there is a garage en bloc. Eaves road is named after a former Master of St Martins School, a primary school in neighbouring Markland Road, it's proximity is just one of the many good reasons to think about moving to this wonderful home.
