Let's talk a little about Rochester. The River Medway begins it's sinuous journey in the High Weald of Sussex and, on its way to join the Thames Estuary, it slips along beneath the watchful eye of your neighbour, the eleventh century Rochester Castle. You can step from your garden onto the adjacent park, The Esplanade and stroll toward it and to the Cathedral.
The town is associated with Charles Dickens and yet has so much more to discover when you delve beneath the surface. Summertime by the water, Christmas time in the picturesque streets and carol concerts at the cathedral, just some of the things that make this town special.
The castle is a magnificent landmark and one that is still put to work with events regularly taking place around it.
