No surprise as this cottage is close enough to walk to and from the station. Coffee shops line your stroll into the centre of Whitstable dotted amongst boutique shops, bakers, butchers, restaurants and pubs. The winding streets and lanes of Whitstable, many lined with weatherboarded homes create a charming environment that tugs on heartstrings and lures people to visit and to stay.
History, community, variety and seafood all loom large in conversations about the town. It straddles two worlds with fishing boats still plying their trade from the harbour, oysters (farmed here from Roman Times) still very evident as a mascot for the town and those twisting lanes and charming facades that lure artists. Modern life has provided stylish eateries, coffee houses and strolls along the seafront.
The town has been a popular destination for many from London and this weatherboarded cottage set within the conservation area provides a glimpse into the past and a doorway to the present.

Positioned here it is easy to see life without needing a car. 'Days can stretch by without using one' the owners say and they have even had momentary lapses trying to remember where they parked last when finally needing to use their car.
